Mixing Instructions for 1:1 Craft Epoxy Resin

Tip:  If your resin is cold you can warm up Part A only in a bucket of warm water for 15 minutes ( This will make it easier to mix and release bubbles )

Equipment:  Measuring cup, stir sticks, gloves, safety glasses, respirator (optional)

Steps for mixing craft epoxy resin:

  1. Mix ratio is 1:1 by volume

  2. Pour Part B into your measuring cup first, then add the same volume of Part A.  Slowly mix Part A and Part B together for 4 to 5 minutes - it's a good idea to set a timer.

  3. Ensure you scrape the sides and bottom to mix thoroughly.  Mixing too fast will introduce more bubbles, so mix at a steady speed.

  4. Add colour as required, or separate your mixture into smaller measuring cups and add colours

  5. Let stand for a few minutes to help release the air bubbles.  Do not leave the mixed resin in the cup for longer than 30 minutes as it will generate heat and could start to set in the cup (smaller volumes ie 100 ml or less may last longer).

  6. Apply to your project

  7. Quickly torch, if necessary, do not over torch and do not torch after 10 minutes

  8. Leave 24 hours to cure
